Levon Ananyan: Conducting of Georgian Literature Days in Armenia has become a tradition
“The most commonly recognizable Armenian”
The Soviet Armenian Composer Aram Khachaturyan was characterized in this way by Ashot Bleyan.
Arthur Bakhtamyan, with the help of specialists, tried to find the synonym for the concept “Soviet Armenian” in the imperial language of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, but all the efforts were in vain. This attempt was followed by the discussion, devoted to one of the most eminent composers of the 20th century. Experts really tried to find the descriptions for his national identity.
By the way, many trends of the assignment of the cultural heritage of such people, typical for Armenians, were noticed.
Regardless the fact, that specialists of music consider Aram Khachaturyan the founder of the Armenian modern composers’ school, there is an international contest, called after his name, and the superb monument is in front of the concert hall, called after him… there are many pages in the annals of history, which remain in archives, not touched.
On February 12, at 10:00 in the evening, the TV discussion will be devoted to Levon 2 Rubinyan (Magnificent).
